YES! JOIN IN THE FIT REVOLUTION

Mine is a Piece of Fit. It’s slower than sin, and a beat up ugly turd, but it’s versatile, gets great mileage, and is surprisingly fun on twisty roads.

I had a GD (1st gen) manual Fit before the Jetta. Damn fine car. Replaced the factory speakers, which were utter trash. The Fit Sport 200W stereo was pretty OK with that upgrade. K&N intake for an extra 50hp and some snarl.

Anyone here have experience with them? I'm considering getting a new daily within the next year or two and I see 2007s under $5000 every now and then. Wondering if they're any good.

did you put a K&N sticker on it too for another +50hp?

ask yitz, thunderface, hondabro, and pete.
I test drove one, if that’s worth anything...and I loved it but didn’t pull the trigger on it

I used to have one - a 2007 Sport. They are good, but not without issues. Make sure you get front end checked before you buy. Mine needed an CV’s at 70,000 miles. Also the OEM coils don’t last all that long - you should change them with the plugs around 100k. Not a big issue, but the batteries are a weird size and can be hard to find outside of a Honda dealer. So track a spare down if you don't want to pay insane dealer prices for it.

Here’s my old 2007 Blackberry Pearl Sport on the last day I had it as it sat waiting to be taken away on trade at the Subaru dealer. I miss it sometimes. (Aside: that’s also my former 5MT-V6 Santa Fe in the background.)

a Fit with a K series would be my type of car.

Well it was cheaper because Honda thinks it’s a premium brand here in Chile. They had the same equipment (the Nissan has smart key as an extra) but the Fit was $1500 more expensive. And the Nissan has more leg room and looks nicer IMO.
The Honda does have the better power train though and those cool magic seats.

Nah, the added weight woild have canceled it out

I think it was only on the Fit and just the first and second gen. I wish Honda would bring it back... But Passion Berry Pearl is pretty close.

Cool, thanks. I knew about the battery, because I've heard other Prelude owners say it could be used as a hardcore weight reduction thing. The CV thing is a bit odd, but not a deal breaker.

Not sure how common it is. Maybe I was unlucky. I’d do a quick check around the boots for leaks, though. My issue was on the transmission side and I ended up just buying and replacing the whole axle with joints on it.

My cousin has a 1st gen base. She's never said anything about it either way, but since she's often out of the country I haven't asked her about it. Figured I'd ask Oppo first.

I miss my little Fit. Fun little car that can, through pure witchcraft and voodoo, somehow carry more stuff than a Suburban. I traded mine in on an Evo X, which got traded for a C class. I will soon be returning to the warm embrace of a Honda. Maybe even another Fit.
